I am a bit confused, but let me try here: -- I should use my last Air back-up to in essence restore my Air back to its pre-spill status, once I get it back (probably in essence as though it were a new refurbished Air). -- For files I need to work on now, I connect the external drive to the Pro, enter Time Machine and then use it to find the files I need from that last Air back-up, and save then to the Pro? Am only a bit concerned that things will get confusing as the same disk was used to back-up the Pro until I made the switch -- am not sure how Time Machine will respond to the two laptops.
