They're both expensive. At least the D500 gives you the best AF system in the Nikon lineup, the ability to shoot 10 frames per second, and shoot continuously for 200 frames without slowing down. I don't care about 4K as I am a stills photographer. I can use some of Nikon legendary manual focus lenses with the D7200 - this is not possible with the D7500. The D7500 has only one card slot so no backup so you would not want to use a D7500 for a wedding shoot (for example).
