Iomega Zip Parallel Driver For Mac
Is there a driver that could enable the drive to work on my Windows 10 computer. I have tried downloading driver programs that only update existing drivers. I have called many numbers and long searching on the internet spending money to try to get it to work.

I have an old zip 100 drive. The only driver I have is on a disk. I don't have a disk drive on my computer.

If you look at the disk's info in Iomega Tools, you'll see a 'format life' and a 'disk life'. My understanding is that the disk life refers to how full the bad block table is. Once it's full, new bad blocks cannot be avoided and will cause read/write (I/O) errors. EDIT: Interesting, however, that the icon is for a Zip100. Is the capacity 230MB-ish or 90MB-ish?
And then came removable media drives such as SyQuest, Bernoulli, and – perhaps best know of all – Zip. Bitcoin transaction accelerator. Before Zip Iomega had made a name for itself with its, a lower cost alternative to SyQuest drives with their hard disk platters. Had established itself with a 44 MB 5-1/4″ cartridge drive system using the same 130mm platters found in hard drives.
Not quite sure what to do now; I've been looking for IomegaWare v1.1.3 everywhere hoping for a version that isn't.hqx, but no luck so far. *EDIT* When going through the preferences in Stuffit Expander, I noticed that it supports.hqx files:/ I'm not sure why none of the version I have won't recognize it.
High-density (HD) 3.5″ floppies arrived in 1987, and both PCs and Macs used them to store 1.4 MB of information. The same year IBM introduced its DSED (Double Sided Extended Density), which never caught on. The market needed a removable media drive with more capacity than floppies but at a much better price than SyQuest. The Zip 100 Iomega brought its Zip drive and Zip disks to market in March 1995 with 100 MB capacity. Zip uses a cartridge a little larger and somewhat thicker than a 3.5″ floppy disk. It was also far faster than a floppy drive, which is part of what kept the competing from catching on – it had higher capacity than Zip but was far, far slower.
250mb ZIP drive 'paper weight' This zip drive came with a CD with drivers, which are not compatible with Windows 8.1, Vista, or XP. Probably works with Windows 98. The Iomega site does not have drivers anymore, just links that take you to sponsored ads. I purchased a parallel port to USB cable trying to get this Zip to work on our XP machines, but no luck. And, again, there are no drivers available on the internet, so basically I purchased an expensive paper weight in choosing this device. Verified purchase: Yes Condition: Pre-owned.

As Iomega decided that were no longer going to support this device I looked for alternate means to get my drive running again, so gave the XP driver a go and it worked. If you are on Windows Vista or 7 you may be warned that this driver is unsigned. Again if you are on Vista or 7 and your computer doesn’t detect your drive, open up device manager, go into the properties of your LPT port, Press the “Port Settings” tab and check “Enable legacy Plug and Play Detection” and you should be up and running Uploaded Bymadman7814 (DG Member) on 2011-02-11 13:33:59 Most Helpful Reviews.

By contrast, Bernoulli cartridges had a floppy disk spinning at 3,000 rpm, using the to pull the disk’s surface toward the read-write head.
